    Friday, September 19 - Day 4


    1. Auditions for this year's Musical Production of GODSPELL will take place on tomorrow, Saturday from 10 am until 2 pm in the auditorium. Sign up for auditions by filling out the form on the Musical's Google Classroom. All information is posted outside room 218. Today is the last day to sign up for a Sophomore Retreat to Montauk! Check your SJB email or your Script
    2. ure teacher's Google Classroom for the sign- up form. See anyone in Campus Ministry if you have any questions. 
    3. Campus Ministry invites students in grades 10, 11, or 12 to join us on a trip to Indianapolis this November. We will be attending the National Catholic Youth Conference. Pope Leo will be making a live, virtual appearance at this event as well! Come to Campus Ministry to pick up a packet with more information. 
    4. Sarah Lawrence College will be in the Cafeteria today at 10:15 AM. 
    5. Attention students! Your yellow health cards are now PAST DUE. Today is the last day to hand in your yellow card. Please give your completed and signed yellow card to your homeroom teacher before homeroom ends. Homeroom teachers, please send in your yellow cards to the health office after homeroom. Any students who did not hand in a completed yellow card will be subject to disciplinary action.

    Thursday, September 18 - Day 3


    1. Auditions for this year's Musical Production of GODSPELL will take place on Saturday, September 20th from 10 am until 2 pm in the auditorium. Sign up for auditions by filling out the form on the Musical's Google Classroom. All information is posted outside room 218. 
    2. Junior Student Council will meet today at 3pm in Room 125. Any Junior who submitted the application last year and was approved to join MUST attend today! 
    3. Attention students! Your yellow health cards are now PAST DUE! Please have your yellow cards completed and signed by your parents and hand them to your homeroom teacher ASAP. Tomorrow will be the last day to hand in yellow cards. Students who do not submit their yellow card will be subject to disciplinary action! If you need a new yellow card, please see the nurses in the health office.

    Wednesday, September 17 - Day 2


    1. Auditions for this year's Musical Production of GODSPELL will take place on Saturday, September 20th from 10 am until 2 pm in the auditorium. Sign up for auditions by filling out the form on the Musical's Google Classroom. All information is posted outside room 218. 
    2. Iona University will be in the cafeteria today starting at 10:15. 
    3. Yearbook will hold its first meeting today at 3pm in room 208. Anyone who is interested in joining may attend the first meeting. 
    4. First Lecture of MSI (WE CARE) is today at 3:00 PM in the Lace Lecture Hall. Please arrive at 2:45 pm to take attendance. 
    5. Freshmen student council will meet today at 3:00 PM in room 320.
    6. Sophomore Student Council will meet today in Room 323 at 2:45 PM. 
    7. Senior Student Council members will meet on Wednesdays at 2:45 pm in room 331. 
    8. Mock Trial will have its first meeting on Wednesday, October 1st at 3 p.m. in room 331. Please see Ms. Hall if you have any questions. This is an amazing club! All are welcome! This year is a criminal case which should prove to be very exciting!

    Tuesday, September 16 - Day 1


    1. Dance Company is holding another audition opportunity for interested students today September 16th 3-4:30pm. Dance Company practices every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3-4:30pm. Please see Ms. O'Neill in the dance room on the 3rd floor for more information about auditions.

    3. Any student who would like to be an altar server or reader at our school Masses should fill out the Google Form that was emailed to you or stop by Campus Ministry to sign up. Please sign up by this Friday September 19th. 
    4. Sophomores: This is the last week to sign up for a Sophomore Retreat to Montauk! Check your SJB email or your Scripture teacher's Google Classroom for the sign-up form. See anyone in Campus Ministry if you have any questions.

    6. NHS Homework help! Anyone in need of a little assistance with schoolwork are invited to visit the Flex Room in the Library Monday - Thursday 3-3:30pm. Let the National Honor Society help! 
    7. The Freshmen student council will meet tomorrow, Wednesday at 3pm in room 320. This meeting will discuss homecoming, begin planning the freshman homecoming banner and introduce the election process. 
    8. Yearbook will hold its first meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, September 17th at 3pm in room 208. Anyone who is interested in joining may attend the first meeting. 
    9. There will be a meeting of the Junior Student Council Thursday, 9/18 at 3pm in Room 125. Any Junior who submitted the application last year and was approved to join MUST attend Thursday. 
    10. Reminder for MSI (We Care) The first Lecture is on tomorrow, Wednesday at 3pm in the Lace Lecture Hall. Students working toward Shadowing MUST be present and have their Attendance taken in the back of the Lecture Hall. Please arrive by 2:45 pm. Anyone can come and listen to any of the lectures, but will not receive applications for Shadowing. See Sr. Marie in rm. 211 if you have any questions.

    Monday, September 15 - Day 6


    1. Dance Company is holding another audition opportunity for interested students tomorrow, Tuesday September 16th 3-4:30pm. Dance Company practices every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3-4:30pm. Please see Ms. O'Neill in the dance room on the 3rd floor for more information about auditions. 
    2. Today marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month. The idea for Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated from September 15th to October 15th, began as a way to promote the history, culture and contributions of Hispanic-Americans specifically those whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Many communities mark the achievements of Hispanic and Latino Americans with festivals and educational activities. 
    3. There will be a brief information meeting this in Room 218 for anyone interested in this year's Musical Production GODSPELL immediately following afternoon Mass at 3:05. Auditions for the show will take place Saturday, September 20th at 10 am in the Auditorium. 
    4. Anyone interested in being our Cougar Mascot this year- please see Mrs. Bouklas!! Go Cougars!!

This includes serving as a catechist, assistant catechist, craft helpers and or hall monitors. There are multiple opportunities to serve throughout the week. This is a great opportunity to accumulate Christian witness hours. If you are interested in serving, please see or email Mrs. Aldrich in campus ministry or check your Religion Google Classroom for more information. 
    3. Attention all students! Your completed yellow cards are NOW DUE. Please make sure you hand in your completed and signed yellow cards to your homeroom teacher as soon as possible. If you need a new yellow card, please see one of the nurses in the health office.

    1. St. Patrick Parish of Bay Shore is in need of students grades 9-12 to assist with their Religious Education program. This includes serving as a catechist, assistant catechist, craft helpers and or hall monitors. There are multiple opportunities to serve throughout the week. This is a great opportunity to accumulate Christian witness hours. If you are interested in serving, please see or email Mrs. Aldrich in campus ministry or check your Religion Google Classroom for more information. 
    2. Important Message from the Health Office! By now you should have received a yellow emergency card from your homeroom teacher. Please have your parent or guardian complete the yellow card and return the completed card to your homeroom teacher as soon as possible! All yellow cards are due by Friday, September 12. Students who do not hand in their completed yellow card by Friday are subject to disciplinary action. If you need a new blank yellow card, please come to the health office.

    2. All students trying out for Crew! Tryouts are tomorrow, Wednesday. Please meet in the cafeteria at 3:00 PM with Mr. Alexander for transportation to Scudder Park. Please have your parents check their e-mails for further information. 
    3. Girls Swim practice is today. Please meet Ms. Maddalena in the café at 3:00 PM to get transportation to St. Joseph’s College.

    Monday, September 8 - Day 1


    1. There will be a meeting of the National Honor Society today, Monday at 3pm in the Lace Lecture Hall. 
    2. Any Senior who wishes to be reconsidered for entry in the National Honor Society, please see Ms. DeLapi to pick up a Fall Application. Applications will be available until Friday, September 12. 
    3. Dance Company is holding another audition opportunity for interested students on Tuesday September 16th 3-4:30pm. Dance Company practices every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3-4:30pm. Please see Ms. O'Neill in the dance room on the 3rd floor for more information about auditions. 
    4. Today and tomorrow PE classes please bring your chrome books to class. 
    5. Last call for anyone interested in girls swimming, boys/girls cross country, boys/girls crew and JV football. Go to the athletic office to sign up during your lunch periods. 
    6. Students who said they were interested in the Good Sam (MSI) Program and replied on Google Classroom this summer must also fill out the Google form sent in August. Anyone can attend the lectures this Fall but only the 30 who complete the application and meet the requirements can Shadow in the Spring. See Sister Marie Happ in 211 if you have questions.
